Minimum account age
You must be at least 16 to create or use a Prototir account. Prototir is not directed to children under 16 and does not knowingly collect their account data. A higher minimum may apply where local law requires it.
People below 16 may encounter a public Prototir link, but they must not sign in, publish, comment, provide personal information, or use account features. If we learn that an account belongs to someone below the minimum age, we will restrict it and delete the associated personal data unless law requires a different response.
Users aged 16 or 17
If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, ask a parent or guardian to review the Terms and this policy with you. Do not purchase a paid plan or publish content involving contracts, brands, client material, or other people's personal data without their permission.
An event may set a higher age limit. Before entering a prize-bearing, in-person, or hybrid event, ask a parent or guardian to review the host's identity, official rules, privacy notice, venue, travel, supervision, prize conditions, and any information the organizer requests. Do not attend a private residence or meet an organizer alone. Prototir does not verify or supervise physical venues or attendance.
Safety when trying prototypes
- Prototypes are user-created and can contain themes or interactions Prototir did not design.
- Camera and microphone access require a separate, visible permission step. Decline if you are unsure.
- Do not enter your address, school, precise location, passwords, private photos, or financial information into a prototype.
- External links leave Prototir. The warning page identifies them before you continue.
- Do not put your home address, identity documents, tax information, school, or travel plans in an event application, comment, description, or prototype. A legitimate organizer should request only necessary winner-delivery information through a private, explained process.
- Report content or behavior that is unsafe, sexual, exploitative, threatening, deceptive, or invasive.
Information for parents and guardians
If you believe someone under 16 created an account or supplied personal data, email prototir@experir.com with the account handle or relevant URL. Do not send unnecessary identity documents in the first message. We will explain a proportionate verification process if one is needed.
You may also contact us about a young person's privacy, safety, content removal, or account deletion. Reports involving immediate danger should be sent to the appropriate local emergency service first.
Creator responsibilities
Creators must not design prototypes to solicit personal data from children, target children with profiling or advertising, exploit minors, encourage dangerous behavior, or bypass age and permission controls. A creator who needs personal data for a prototype is responsible for an appropriate lawful basis, clear notice, minimization, and any required parental authorization.
Event host responsibilities
Hosts must choose an age policy suitable for the theme, venue, territory, and prize, state it in the official rules, and obtain any legally required parent or guardian authorization. A Prototir account only indicates that the user accepted the platform's 16+ rule; it is not proof of age, legal capacity, parental consent, identity, or suitability for a physical event.
Hosts must not offer age-restricted prizes, request unnecessary data from young participants, hold one-to-one meetings without appropriate safeguards, publish private residential venues, or use participant information for unrelated contact or marketing. The host is responsible for venue risk, supervision, safeguarding, emergency arrangements, staff, insurance, and applicable local rules.
Why the limit is conservative
Italian law can allow consent for some information-society services from age 14, while the general GDPR reference age is 16 and other countries differ. Prototir uses a clear platform-wide minimum of 16 because it includes public user content, interactive code, community features, and optional payments.
